Introduction

Analogly ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Analogly iOS application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

Analogly stores all user data — including roll logs, frame data, camera and lens inventory, chemistry batches, and app preferences — entirely on your device using local storage (SwiftData). We do not transmit, collect, or store any of this data on external servers.

Camera Access

The App uses your device's camera for the Light Meter and Negative Converter features. Camera data is processed in real-time on your device and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.

Location Data

If you grant location permission, the App uses your location for the Lab Finder feature (to show nearby labs) and to optionally tag frames in your Roll Log with GPS coordinates. Location data is stored locally on your device and is never sent to our servers.

Community-Submitted Lab Data

If you choose to submit a film lab to our crowdsourced directory via the "Submit a Lab" feature, the information you provide (lab name, location, services, and notes) may be stored on our servers to make it available to other users. No personal information is associated with your submission.

Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not require account registration or login.
  • We do not collect names, email addresses, or phone numbers.
  • We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs.
  • We do not serve advertisements.
  • We do not share or sell any user data to third parties.
  • We do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies.

Third-Party Services

The App uses Apple MapKit to display maps in the Lab Finder feature. Apple's own privacy policies govern how Apple processes map data. We do not use any other third-party services, analytics, or advertising frameworks.

Data Security

Since all personal data is stored locally on your device, it is protected by your device's built-in security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, and device encryption). We recommend keeping your device software up to date.

Data Retention and Deletion

All data is stored on your device. You can delete your data at any time by deleting individual entries within the App or by uninstalling the App entirely. We do not retain any copy of your data.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
